The de los Deportes will be the seventh of eight international awards that convenes annually by the Prince of Asturias Foundation, which this year reaches its XXVIII edition. The jury, chaired since its first edition by Juan Antonio Samaranch was composed of: Rogelio Blanco, Jose Maria Casanovas, Enrique Castro, Maria Escario, Porrón Misael Fernandez, Antonio Galeano, Julian Garcia Candau, Eduardo Inda, Luis Infante, Maria del Carmen Izquierdo, Jaime Lissavetzky, Javier Munoz, Santiago Nolla, Jose Ramon Pinder, Matias Prats, Nemesio Rodriguez, Arancha Sanchez Vicario, Jose Javier Santos, Alejandro Sopeña, Javier Tola, Jose Luis Vilaseca, Emma Villacieros, Yeregui and Juan Ignacio Martinez.

Te mereces el premio, no solo por tus grandes exitos deportivos (estas en lo mas alto), si no tambien por la elegancia que te representa al hablar de ti, de tus contrincantes,la humildad que tienes,la manera en que llevas la bandera española con el orgullo que lo haces.... soy de oviedo, y me alegro que te hayan galardonado con este premio tan importante, tambien es verdad que tenias unos contrincantes muy duros, aun asi FELICIDADES CAMPEON!!
