Rafa Nadal, champion of the Open Seat of Barcelona by third consecutive time

IT OVERCAME IN ONE HOUR AND FORTY MINUTES

In a very intense end, Rafa Nadal has defeated to Guillermo Cañas in two sets (6-3 and 6-4) and has proclaimed champion of the Open Seat by third consecutive time.

The Balearic tennis player equaled therefore the record of victories of the mythical Mats Wilander, the only one that had been able to chain three titles in Barcelona (1982, 1983 and 1984).

Nadal continues fattening its earth legend, surface in which already has chained 72 parties invicto, has gained the twelve last disputed matches and has left in picota to 49 rivals in the last two years.

Some of them, like willful Cañas, already know what is to lose more of once before a Nadal in gust of wind. The Buenosairean one did it in the quarterfinals of Acapulco, in the dieciseisavos of end of Rome, both in 2005, and today it returned to sink the knee, this time in Barcelona, before the unquestionable king of the clay.
