Federer and Wawrinka will face Knowles and Mertinak in quarterfinals
Rafael Nadal and Marc Lopez struggled to overcome in the doubles with Lukas Dlouhy and Paul Hanley in the quarterfinals of the 1000 Indian Wells Masters. The Spanish couple will continue to defend his crown after winning a 7-5, 6-7, 10-7 in just over two hours of match and qualify for semifinals.
There could be at tandem of Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka if Swiss exceed Knowles and Mertinak.
Marc Nadal and Lopez took advantage of the weakness in the serve of Czech Lukas Dlouhy and Australian Paul Hanley, who committed six double faults during the match and won only 33% of the points with his second serve in the super tiebreaker. The Spanish pair lost his serve four times but broke up five times the service Dlouhy and Hanley.
